MAYA MAYA originally means: “every temporary shelter, built by a traveler.”

A traveler is protected and safe in all seasons, all weather conditions, crossing the mountains, the sea, deserts, and forests. Our traveler is getting to know and to respect all the cultures, the nations, and the way of life on planet Earth. He is exploring the world in so many ways. A traveler, united with MAYA MAYA, in order to explore.

To care and protect, to have great and unique designs, lifetime warranty, and high functionality… This is our mission.

We are more than just a group of people working in the same company. We have the same values, the same mission and we are supporting, pushing, and motivating each other. We are a loyal, hard-working, and dedicated team, focused on creating the most valuable outdoor fashion brand.

We don’t believe in a working method where too many people are working in a big and complicated structure, where each person knows only about his/her own small scale of work. Each team member is involved in our decision-making process. We constantly collect opinions, embrace ideas and keep each other up-to-date about the road the company is pursuing.

Less is more. By being slim, better organized, and creative, we are extremely productive and efficient in our sustainable value creation.

The holding company - Swiss Outdoor Holding AG - was established in 2014 and is based in Switzerland. Beside our retail chain, we have two companies supporting our future growth:

  • Swiss Outdoor Maverick AG, established in 2021 for managing the e-commerce, multi-sensory smart store, CRM, and marketing.

  • Swiss Outdoor Logistics AG, established in 2018 for managing the supply chain and logistics.
